Originally developed by one of Beverly Hills' leading Dermatologists, Dr Zain Obagi, the Obagi range of products are true skin transformative products. Most 'over the counter' skin products and 'cosmoceuticals' have a limited effect - they cannot by definition affect the skin at a cellular level as they would then require clinical testing, licensing and prescription by a qualified physician.
Most Obagi products are active at a cellular level, and therfore require a prescription and monitoring by a trained doctor. The range includes treatments for sun-damaged skin, abnormal pigmentation, aging skin, acne, rosacea, and specific treatments for the eye area and the décolletage.

| Over time, normal aging and damage from the environment (sun, stress and pollution) cause skin to lose its ability to 'renew' itself properly. Cell turnover slows, causing the dead skin layer at the stratum corneum or surface to be thicker and slowing the flow of moisture from within, resulting in dry uneven skin texture. Skin cells are disorganized and misshapen. Daily exposure to sunlight causes the amount of pigment in each cell to increase, producing freckles or age spots and uneven skin tone.
